Litter Experiment

I told you that we just got my litter last week. Also, Mom got me a new litter box last week since I tend to topple my old one whenever I run around my cage. Since its Halloween, and Mom was home all day, we decided to do a little experiment with my new litter.

First, we dished out my new litter:

Then, Mom placed some handfuls of litter on my new litter tray/box (sorry we forgot to take a photo of the tray on its own):

After placing a small amount of water to fluff-up the litter (the sack says we can do that to make it a little softer on my feet), Mom placed some of my old litter (wood shavings) with the Woody Pet to make it a little familiar to me.

And finally, add some hay on the side. Voila! We’re done with our first experiment. Let’s try it out!

Mom was glad that I liked my new set-up. I instantly jumped on my tray and peed on it. I also munched on some hay while I’m there. For this one, Mom gets my seal of approval!

We will experiment with plastic coated wire grids next time, she’ll be making some sort of sifter on my tray, just like how other rabbit owners do it.She’s not so sure though, she says I have a thing for wires *shy*. We’ll keep you posted.
