Who am I?

Mom took this picture when I was about three months old. I just moved in to their other house, so I was a little queasy about the new sounds (is that a dog?).

I have the question to those who are more experienced bunny parents aout there: what breed am I? Thank you.

Mange! Oh no!

Oh No!

This is bad. Mom thinks I have mange, and there’s no vet near our place who knows how to treat bunny mange! She thinks I might’ve gotten it through the last food batch she bought (there were some insects in the plastic bag) or through the roaming mouse around the house (that mouse almost ate up all my food! It tore up my food storage box and ate through my sunflower seeds!).

Through her research while she’s at work, she found out that selamectin or invermectin is very effective to treat mange. Unfortunately, she’s not sure where she can find one here.

Last night, Mom went looking for some alternatives and found two medications (as said by the pet shop owners). One was called Neomectin – that’s what the tube says, and the other was Aristopets Small Animal Insecticidal Mite and Mange Spray. She researched about their content and found out that the contents of Aristopets are ok for bunnies like me. She hasn’t bought a bottle yet, she said she’ll have to check on other bunnies online first to see what they have to say about this medication.

On the Template Thing…

After minutes of tinkering with the blog, Mom finally settled for this design - the background looks like my food and the bunny on the top (that’s not me by the way) looks nice. Now all we need to do is to upload pictures.

Luna the Bunny

Hi there! After weeks of pestering my Mom’s multiply account, she finally decided that I, Luna, should have my own blog. She also said that she got inspired by other bunny blogs that she found online. I’m not so sure about this internet thing, but I guess having my pictures in the internet is alright, given that my Mom spends a lot of time online.

Hmm, maybe I should start telling something about myself.  I’m a pure white bunny (Mommy’s not sure about what breed I am, but I think I’m a Rex) with blue eyes. I love eating and playing around, though I only get to go out of the cage when Mom goes home at night. I get miffed sometimes but I understand, she has to go to work and her siblings doesn’t know how to watch over me when I roam around the house. At least she leaves my favorite toy with me in my little abode (a thick cardboard roll - I lov gnawing on it!).

I’m also the only bunny in the household. I would love to have a buddy but Mom says she’s not very used to taking care of bunnies (oh, that’s why she was looking at bunny picturesin the computer).

My favorite days are weekends, since I get to go out and roam around our house. I love exploring under the bed and smelling everything around me. I also love to lick my Mom. I love Mommy.

Mom said she’ll be updating this blog, maybe upload some of my pictures and post more about me.

As for now, I want to look at what’s inside Mom’s shopping basket. I hope there’s something yummy in there.
